Operation

1. Wiring: Connect the instrument terminals (A, B, C, a, b, c) to the transformer terminals (A, B, C, a, b, c) correspondingly. Be careful not to reverse the high and low voltage connections, otherwise the instrument may be damaged.

2. Turn on the power switch, then the display shows self-test 1; self-test 2; self-test 3; passed, indicating that the instrument is performing self-test. Finally, it displays the turns ratio, tap percentage, group, and the information display bar (error display bar) shows "Self-test passed", indicating that the instrument is normal and the next operation can be performed.

3. Press the key to input the turns ratio, tap interval, and group in sequence until the parameter indicator light goes out. If the parameters used in this test are the same as the previous ones, this operation can be omitted.

4. Use the tap adjustment key to adjust the tap position. Each time this key is pressed, the tap value moves by one tap interval. If pressing the tap adjustment key has no response on the tap display, it indicates that the tap interval has not been set. In this case, press the parameter key to set the tap interval.

5. Measurement

a. Three-phase continuous: Press the key, the key light turns on. Press the key, the key light turns on, the instrument starts measuring and automatically enters the recording state. After each phase is measured, a prompt tone sounds, and it proceeds to the next phase measurement. After all are completed, it stops automatically.

b. Single-phase: Press the key, the key light turns on. Press the key, the key light turns on, the instrument starts measuring. After the error display stabilizes, record the data, press the key, the key light turns on, completing the AB phase test. Similarly, complete the BC and CA phase measurements.

6. Printing

a. If printing is required, you must press the record key before the measurement operation, the key light turns on, and the instrument enters the automatic recording state, automatically recording the data of each subsequent measurement operation. When the power is cut off, if the three-phase continuous function is used for measurement, the instrument automatically records, and there is no need to press the key before measurement.

b. Press the print key, the screen displays "Printing", and after a moment, the screen displays "Print complete" to finish printing. If any key is pressed during printing, the screen displays "Print aborted", allowing you to exit printing midway. If there is no data in the memory, pressing the print key causes the print key light and record key light to flash simultaneously, and the screen displays "Memory empty", so printing cannot be performed.

C. Of course, if the previous test data does not need to be retained, clear the data before the measurement operation. Press the key. If the memory is already empty, the clear memory key light and record key light flash simultaneously, and the screen displays "Memory already empty". If the memory is not empty, the screen displays "Clear memory?", then press the clear memory key again to clear the memory, or press any other key to abort clearing, and the screen displays "Clear memory aborted". When the memory is full, the and key lights flash as a prompt. Press the key twice consecutively to clear the old data.

7. Use of other function keys

a. key: If you need to observe the measured turns ratio during the measurement process, press the key before measurement, the key light turns on, indicating that the measured turns ratio can be displayed during measurement. Press the key again, the key light turns off, and the measured turns ratio will not be displayed during measurement.

b. key: Most transformers have taps on the high voltage side. When testing a transformer with taps on the low voltage side, use this key, the key light turns on. Press this key again, the key light turns off. In most cases, this key light should be off.

c. key: If the group of a three-phase transformer is not known in advance, connect the three-phase transformer test leads, press the key, the key light turns on, press the key, the instrument starts working. It takes about 70 seconds, and the group and turns ratio test results will be displayed. The instrument does not analyze the group of single-phase transformers, which is only 0 or 6. If the polarity is wrong, the group display window flashes to indicate an error. Some transformers may have errors when analyzing the group, but can measure normally with input parameters. The reason is that the symmetry of the transformer core lamination is not good, and when one column is excited, the magnetic distribution error in other columns is large.

d. key: Press the key, the instrument starts self-test. First, it lights up all displays in sequence for the operator to check, then checks whether the voltage divider and measurement circuit work normally.

e. Numeric keys: The numeric keys are multi-function keys and are effective when the key light is on. For example, when the parameter key light is on, pressing the key with the number "0" inputs 0. When the parameter light is off, pressing the key prints.



Usage Precautions


1. During measurement, do not touch the test object.

2. If the test leads are short-circuited or the high and low voltage connections are reversed, the fuse will blow. After the fuse blows, if measurement is performed, the display will show "Measuring, please wait!" and then stop. Turn off the power, replace the fuse with the same capacity, and measure again.

3. Ensure good contact of the connections, and the instrument should be properly grounded!

4. The working place of the instrument should be far away from strong electric fields, strong magnetic fields, and high-frequency equipment. The power supply interference should be as small as possible. It is advisable to use lighting lines. If the power supply interference is still large, an AC purified power supply with a capacity greater than 200VA can be used to power the instrument.

5. During operation, if the LCD display is disordered, all keys have no response, or the measured value differs greatly from the actual value, press the reset key or turn off the power and restart the operation.

6. If the display has no characters or the color is too light, adjust the brightness potentiometer to an appropriate position.

7. The instrument should be stored in a dry and ventilated place.

Test Purpose


1. Check whether the turns ratio matches the nameplate value to ensure the required voltage transformation is achieved.

2. Check whether the indicated position of the voltage tap changer is correct.

3. Check the turns ratio of each coil to determine whether there is an inter-turn short circuit in the transformer.

4. Measure the unbalance degree of the turns ratio of the three-phase transformer itself.

5. Provide the accuracy of the turns ratio to determine whether the transformers can operate in parallel.

Practical Tips


1. For single-phase turns ratio or coil turns ratio measurement
◆ Connect the high voltage terminals (A, X) of the coil to terminals A and B of the bridge, and the low voltage terminals (a, x) to terminals a and b. Set the group to 0 (or 6), use the AB phase for measurement, or other phases can also be used.

2. Unknown turns ratio situation
◆ When the turns ratio error is too large, the turns ratio flashes to indicate an error, and then the measured turns ratio is displayed. If the exact turns ratio is unknown, you can input any turns ratio, and after measurement, the instrument will display the measured turns ratio.

Installation Method




(1) A-type panel: Hold the elastic clips on both sides of the printer frame with your fingers, push the entire printer into the mounting hole of the instrument or equipment panel, and check whether the printer is installed firmly.

(2) D-type and F-type front paper-loading panel type: Installation is extremely simple and convenient. Insert the entire printer into the mounting hole of the instrument or equipment panel, clamp the printer from behind the equipment panel with plastic clips and tighten the screws.

The general paper loading process is as follows:

① Remove the front cover of the printer

② A-type panel micro-printer must be removed from the instrument panel. Note that the micro-printer power must be turned off before operation. D-type, F-type front paper-loading panel type, and T-type desktop can skip this step.

③ Remove the paper roll shaft, install a new paper roll, put the paper shaft back into the guide groove of the printer, and confirm that the paper roll shaft is firmly installed and will not fall out.

④ Cut the paper end into a triangle or trim it neatly.

⑤ Turn on the printer power, after the printer advances a few lines, press the SEL key to turn off the SEL indicator, then press the LF key to rotate the print head. Manually feed the paper head into the paper inlet below the print head, and the paper will slowly enter the print head until the paper emerges from the front of the print head. Then press the LF or SEL key to stop the print head rotation, cover the printer cover, and thread the paper out through the paper outlet on the front cover.

Replacing the Ribbon Cartridge

Replacing the ribbon is only for dot matrix printers. Thermal printers only need special thermal paper and do not require ribbon replacement (consumables). Note: Thermal paper has two sides, and only the front side can be printed on.

The process of replacing the ribbon cartridge is as follows:

① Open the front cover of the printer.

② First lift the right end of the ribbon cartridge, then lift the left end (the end with the knob) to remove the ribbon cartridge.

③ Gently place the left end of the new ribbon cartridge on the gear shaft of the print head, turn the knob on the ribbon cartridge in the direction of the arrow until the end of the ribbon cartridge falls into place, then lower the right end of the ribbon cartridge.

④ Install the printer cover. First hang the upper part of the front cover on the frame, pay attention to aligning the indicator lights and keys, then press the lower part of the front cover toward the frame with a little force to snap the front cover onto the frame.

Safety Measures




1. Be sure to read this manual carefully before using this instrument.

2. The operator of the instrument should have general knowledge of electrical equipment or instruments.

3. This instrument can be used indoors and outdoors, but should avoid places with rain, corrosive gases, excessive dust, high temperature, direct sunlight, etc.

4. The instrument should avoid severe vibration.

5. Maintenance, care, and adjustment of the instrument should be performed by professionals.

6. The yellow, green, and red test clips correspond to the A, B, and C of the transformer, respectively. Do not connect them incorrectly.

7. Do not reverse the high and low voltage cables.

8. When measuring a single-phase transformer, only use the yellow and green clips. Do not use the wrong ones. Unused test clips should be left hanging.
