Precautions:
Three types of sounds
During the withstand voltage test, due to electrical distance, there will be three types of sounds
"Crackle crackle": the sound of air ionization
"Zi, zi": the sound of air streamer
"Bang": loud and crisp, accompanied by sparks, the sound of insulation (or air) breakdown
Generally, air discharge is divided into three stages. The first stage is ionization. If the electric field is larger, it enters the streamer stage. If the electric field is even larger, the air will be broken down.
If it is just a sound like frying beans, "crackling", and it can withstand for one minute without breakdown, it is in principle in line with national standards.
If there is a "zi zi" sound, but it also withstands for one minute without breakdown, it is actually in line with national standards, but the risk of long-term operation of a transformer with streamer is relatively high.
The main reason for high withstand voltage noise is that the air distance of the main air duct (between high-voltage coil and low-voltage coil) is insufficient.
Usage method:
(1) Before the test, the "┻" terminal of the high-voltage test transformer shell,
and the grounding terminal "┻" of the power control box must be well grounded, otherwise it will endanger personal and equipment safety.
(2) Before operation, you must be familiar with the electrical principle wiring diagram of the high-voltage test transformer and the power control box. If DC withstand voltage and leakage test are to be done, you can first screw the high-voltage silicon stack or microammeter onto the high-voltage terminal of the high-voltage test transformer.
(3) After preparation, check that the wiring is correct, then close the main power switch. At this time, the green switch indicator light is on, indicating that the power is connected; at the same time, the indicator light on the green stop button is also on. If it is not on, turn the voltage regulator handle counterclockwise back to zero, and the indicator light on the green stop button will be on, otherwise the start button will refuse to close.
(4) Press the start button, the red button indicator light is on, then rotate the voltage regulator handle uniformly and slowly clockwise at a speed of 1.5 to 2 kilovolts per second, the high voltage gradually rises, and pay close attention to the voltmeter indication and the condition of the test object, until the required test high voltage is adjusted.

(5) To test the withstand voltage test time of the product, you can set the timer to the required time and then press the timer, that is, test the product's withstand voltage within the specified time, and then an alarm will be given. If the tested product is broken down, the overcurrent relay will automatically trip, and the test product is unqualified at this time.
(6) If you need to protect the tested product from breakdown, you can first connect a protective ball gap in series on the high-voltage side and adjust the protective ball discharge voltage to about 1.15 times the test voltage.
